Ice-T had some kind words for Pusha T, who recently credited him for his rap name. In a post shared Wednesday, he said Push “is one of the Best to ever do it.”
The praise was in response to Pusha T’s interview with REVOLT Sunday during the 2023 Grammys. In it, the rapper revealed he got his name from Ice-T’s 1988 “I’m Your Pusher.” He also recalled the moment in which he told Ice the story behind his moniker.
“I seen him standing outside of a hotel one day and I actually did tell him. I actually gave him all his flowers, right then and there, I had to,” Pusha said. “He told me he was actually a fan of my work and that was enough for me.”
That portion of the interview was later shared on Ice-T’s Twitter page with a message that read, “Absolutely nothing but Respect to @PUSHA_T Love is love.” The compliment calling Pusha “one of the best” came directly after.
