No Magic City Classic Live Broadcast Of “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show”

We were recently made aware that there was an advertisement promoting a live broadcast from the Magic City Classic tomorrow (October 24th). Unfortunately, this is false.
Due to the Magic City Classic date falling during the same time frame as our parent company’s “Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage,” we were unable to commit to a live broadcast this year.
We’ve learned that this event was not authorized or promoted by our team, and we want to be clear: our station affiliate in Birmingham, 98.7 Kiss FM was also not involved with the promotion of the broadcast.
We have known that we were unable to commit to this event since the beginning of the year and have not promoted it in ANY way. We have learned that the post was an error by an outside vendor not affiliated with our team.
We hope that everyone has an amazing and safe Classic and look forward to more great events in Birmingham!
