Getting both the United States Senate and House Of Representatives to pass the bill to recognize Juneteenth as a federal holiday was a huge accomplishment, and today we talked to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee about this historical legislation. She is absolutely lovable, and every time I see the Congresswoman I think about my favorite middle school principal, my favorite high school principal, my Sunday school teacher and the guest speaker at women’s day programs all over the country.
